Mr Philip Woodrow

Originally from the Wirral, after graduating from Queen’s College Cambridge with a degree in Natural Sciences, Philip has spent a career in IT and Business Management. In the late 90s he pioneered the use of the Internet within the public sector, creating the first e-government system then in use, and later as Chief Technical Officer
for the company Idox, newly-based in Glasgow, oversaw the introduction of the waves of new technology as they emerged over subsequent years. Great design and usability have always been at the forefront of his attention and Philip continues to work with government and private sector companies of all sizes. As a musician, Philip plays percussion for orchestras in the Glasgow area and beyond, and in his time has played under the baton of some leading conductors. He also enjoys a good debate over meals with the next generation of his family, comprising his two children who
certainly think they know best!
